Platform II Explored: Revolutionising Construction

Finally we’re getting everything moved in, unpacking baby stuff, and adding in all the cute decor stuff that I’ve been thinking about for the better part of a year now.. People have been using fabric in embroidery hoops as wall art for awhile now and I always think it’s really cute and fun, but it’s usually super girly.

You can’t get your certificate of bloggyness without having made at least one.So I decided to make up for lost time and give it a try.. All joking about my lack of originality aside, there’s a reason these wreaths are so popular!

Platform II Explored: Revolutionising Construction

It really was easy and I was thrilled with the impressive-looking results..If you’ve never had the pleasure of making one of these. Here’s a look at how I made it..

Platform II Explored: Revolutionising Construction

I cut a heart out of a piece of cardboard to start.Perfection isn’t necessary here because the whole thing eventually poofs out and takes on a life of its own.

Just a vague heart-like shape will do..

The coffee filters get folded in half 3 times and then hot glued down to fill in the shape with fluffy goodness.. Just like that!.How to finally start line drying your laundryOK, maybe not never, but.

I feel like I’m always hearing people explaining how to tackle painting jobs the “right way” or telling us all what we “need” to get this basic job done properly. Now, I’m all for doing things the right way and putting quality workmanship into your home, but sometimes it seems like we can talk up this relatively-simple job to the point that people are intimidated by the thought of even picking up a paint brush in their own homes.

It’s painting, people!Every time I hear someone describe themselves as “not a very good painter” I cringe a little, because really, all that there is to it is that you pick a color you like, slop it on, and then smear it around until it looks presentable.
